Ana Margarida Feijão (b. 1999),
fashion designer from the south of Portugal.
Graduated from FAUL in Lisbon in 2020 and went to persue her studies at Central Saint Martins and then Parsons School of Design where she completed her MFA in Fashion Design & Society in 2024.
Drawing from her experiences growing up in a small town in southern Portugal, Feijão witnessed the oppression faced by women.
This inspired her to tell their stories—stories of the women who raised her, her own past, traumas, and the enduring effects of patriarchy, which continues to impose new sets of rules on each generation. While the challenges she faces differ from those of her ancestors, new obstacles still arise.
Her creative approach merges wearable art with critical social commentary, examining and redefining women's roles in society.
